Privacy Policy
This is the v1 version of the Notchy Privacy Policy. See “Versioned URLs” below for the immutability rationale. Last updated: 2026-05-05.
What we don’t collect
Notchy is designed so that nothing about your work patterns leaves your device. We do not run a backend, do not maintain user accounts, and do not perform any remote API calls for app data. Your daily logs live in a local SQLite database on your iPhone.
We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, calendar events, photos, or any analytics. The App makes no remote API calls for app data of any kind.
Apple MetricKit
We do not run analytics, crash reporting, or telemetry of any kind on the iOS app. Crash reports flow through Apple’s first-party MetricKit framework and are visible to us only in Apple’s developer console. Notchy adds no extra wire. You can disable Apple’s “Share with App Developers” setting at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
iCloud Backup
Your data stays on your device. If you have iCloud Backup enabled, iOS backs up your app data to your iCloud account along with the rest of your phone — that is a setting you control in iOS, and the data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple. Notchy itself never sends your data anywhere.
RevenueCat
Notchy uses RevenueCat as a data processor for in-app purchase handling. RevenueCat receives your Apple App Store transaction identifier and a pseudonymous app-installation identifier in order to manage your purchase entitlement. RevenueCat does not receive your email address, your Apple ID, your name, or any of your Notchy log data. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy for details. App Store Connect privacy nutrition labels reflect this disclosure.
getnotchy.com (this website)
The website getnotchy.com runs zero analytics, zero cookies, zero third-party scripts, zero email capture. The site is hosted on Cloudflare; Cloudflare retains standard HTTP request logs (IP address, user-agent, requested path, timestamp) for a short retention window per their privacy policy — we do not access, store, or analyze those logs.
Versioned URLs
This document lives at https://getnotchy.com/privacy/v1. When we issue a new Privacy Policy, we will publish it at /privacy/v2; this v1 page will remain reachable indefinitely so any prior acceptance of this Policy remains verifiable. We treat versioned policy URLs as immutable; substantive changes always land at a new version path.
Children’s Privacy
Notchy is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. Because Notchy collects no personal information at all, this section is largely informational; if you believe a child has provided information through the App, please contact us at the address below and we will investigate.
Your Rights
Because Notchy stores all data locally on your device and does not transmit any of it to RSP, the App’s design satisfies the strictest reading of “your data is your data.” You can:
- Export all of your Notchy data via the in-app CSV export at any time.
- Delete all of your Notchy data via the in-app “Delete All Data” two-step confirmation flow.
- Restore your data when switching devices via your standard iPhone backup (iCloud or local).
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy by publishing a new version at a new URL (e.g., /privacy/v2). Substantive changes prompt re-acceptance on the next App launch. The current version path is the canonical statement of our practices.
